You will also have free access to the Learn English With Africa main website where you can read short stories, consult grammar and vocabulary lessons, do exercises and quizzes, etc. Besides, the blog section of our website gives you cultural insight into Africa and beyond. You will thus cover all aspects of language learning.
What: One-on-one online English speaking lessons
Where: Google Meet
For who: Lessons ideal for people who wish to improve their conversational skills using effective, engaging and proven methods for long-lasting results.
How long: One hour which is broken down as follows: 10 minutes small talk and feedback, 30 minutes prepared content conversation, 20 minutes spontaneous conversation, 10 minutes more feedback and homework.
When: You will choose the time that is convenient for you.
How much: 25 euros per hour, including oral and written feedback. After each lesson, you will get a PDF document listing your strong points and areas where you need to improve. You will also get advice on how you can bring about those improvements.
How often: Once a week in order to sustain motivation over a long period of time. The rest of the week will be used for self-study using our platform and other online resources. You will thus work on all your language skills namely reading, listening, speaking and writing.
Why speaking skills: Spontaneous speaking is one of the hardest skills to master when you are learning a language. This is because you have little time to mobilise vocabulary, check grammar and pronunciation and make sure that you are saying something that is comprehensible. At Learn English With Africa, we aim to give you the linguistic and strategic tools to enable you to talk about different topics with native speakers.

My name is Thandi Ngwira Gatignol and I am the founder of Learn English With Africa. I am an internationally trained English teacher, journalist and writer. I was born in Malawi, the warm heart of Africa.
Education-wise, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English studies obtained at the Université Paris X Nanterre in France and a Certificate in Journalism from Malawi. I have taught English as a French Ministry of Education certified teacher both in France and in Poland. I speak six languages fluently, including French, Polish and Italian. I am now learning Kiswahili, German and Spanish.
