Most of the stories are about matters of the heart – for the spirit is what Africa is all about. It is the essence and trademark of this astonishing continent without which Africans would not thrive.
The spirit is what defines and keeps us alive, even though outward appearances prove otherwise. The spirit is that hidden force that puts smiles on children’s faces in the slums and makes a toiling woman sing joyously, even in the face of intense adversity.
The African spirit and the unflinching hope that resides within it is what has kept me going for the past seven years. I hope that you like reading these stories as much as I loved writing them.

In 2015, I had the crazy idea of quitting a highly-paying international English teacher’s job in order to create a language website that would teach English based on Africa.
I did not have a clear idea of where I was going but right from the start I knew that I wanted to tell stories, teach English in a fun and engaging way, create visually-stunning learning and teaching materials and showcase the beauty of the African continent.
Today, I can proudly say that I have fulfilled that mission. Hundreds of thousands of people across the globe have been able to access and use our materials. These range from comprehensive grammar and vocabulary lessons, not forgetting captivating short stories focusing on the four language skills in reception and production: reading, listening, speaking and writing.
Therefore, it seemed obvious to create a dedicated space where you can see all our products and services and choose what suits you best. Thank you very much for your visit!
